For Jennifer Adams, her story began in a 1,000 square-foot home for six in Oregon. Jennifer would often get inspired to redecorate her small room, which meant she had to get a bit resourceful. It was this creativity and passion for decorating that taught her to think outside of the box when it came to budgetary restraints and, more importantly, how to make the most of what is available.
It was this ideology that led to the launch of her award-winning interior decorating firm, Jennifer Adams Design Group, the creation of Jennifer Adams Home bedding products and eventually the start of the Furniture Collection by Jennifer Adams. It was through the success of the design firm, Portland Business Journal recognized Jennifer as the Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008 and in their prestigious “Forty under Forty”.
Since then, Jennifer has become the design expert on "The Better Show", a nationally syndicated daytime television program and formerly the lead designer on HGTV’s "My First Place." Both of which made it easy for Jennifer to share her design passion and fresh ideas with experts and novices alike. Her blog offers do-it-yourself design tips to viewers seeking advice to add spice or pops of color to their homes through interesting decor.
Jennifer believes in the power of giving back and inspiring the passion in our youth. She has spent several years working with organizations that have comprehensive youth programs. In addition to supporting the positive development of troubled youth, Jennifer Adams Home has recently launched an initiative to provide bedding globally to those in need.
